World class audiobook production from the heart of Yorkshire

Luke is a British producer, engineer and musician, who has worked in and around studios for most of his adult life. Beginning his professional career in 2006 assisting Julian Kindred at Nonsuch Studios, Surrey, he went on to work extensively with Sam Gibson at Chapel Lane Studios Hereford and SMG Cardiff, travelling around Europe to work in a range of studios, principally on CCM live album projects, before setting up Apperley Bridge Studio in 2017. Around 2019, Luke began to work in spoken word projects as both narrator and producer, and moved increasingly into the world of drama and audiobook production. Audiobook Studio was the natural landing point, as Luke's fascination with the art of storytelling lead to more and more audiobook projects.
Luke's in depth knowledge of audiobook production had seen him working with major and independent publishers, self published authors and motivational speakers, comedians, pastors, sportspeople, actors, doctors, nurses, poets, business leaders... all of them with a unique story to tell, and a unique voice to tell it.
Alongside leading Apperley Bridge Studio and Audiobook Studio, Luke has taken on the role of production Manager at North Church Leeds. Looking after all things technical at a 1,200 seat city centre venue has given him an opportunity to grow in areas of live sound, video, lighting, and network systems, alongside teaching opportunities for raising up a new generation of production professionals.
